Remember that "free money" that a lot of Americans got back un June? Well, apparently it didn't help much at all, because prices have gotten SO high that people were losing money anyway.

President Bush signed a bill to help homeowners who can't play their mortgages. Wow, Bush is doing something for the poor ;) I'm sure he's worried about offending the rich conservatives though -- because he kept this bill under wraps!

The US will have a whopping $482 billion dollar deficit in 2009. When Bush first became President, the US hada SURPLUS of $128 billion. Sooo... thanks a LOT, Bush! He must be glad he's leaving the mess behind for someone else to clean up.

Update on the US economy: yup, it still sucks. And it's getting worse! The housing market has taken a downturn and unemployment is rising, and all of this made stocks fall 2.4% today. I don't know if there's an end in sight for all of this :(

Americans are using their retirement funds to get through the recession and for emergencies like unemployment. It just sucks because people have to do what they have to do, but they're going to need that money when they're old and retired!

Celebs are being hit by the housing slump too! Many can't make payments on their million+ dollar mansions -- boo hoo, then don't get a mansion you can't really afford! Everyone should learn to live within their means, even if they were famous once.
