Yes! Get a replacement! The fur has no military purpose other than ceremonial adornment. The Defense Ministry buys 50 to 100 bearskin pelts a year to make and repair hats, which can last up to 40 years, but a single hat costs about $1,100!

Ninety per cent of the dogs in dog shows are said to be healthy. I like watching Crufts, bc the dogs are so lovely and I like learning about pedigree. We allow human beauty pageants even though size zero is proven to be unhealthy! The dogs are fine.

Mars candy co. pays experimentors to test the effects of chocolate on lab animals. They shove tubes in their throats, cut open their legs, clamp arteries to block blood flow, drown them, kill them and dissect them. Not one test is required by law.

globalcitizen, I think you're being naive. It's all fine and good to treat animals like humans, but ppl need the protein that comes from animals. We've been eating animals for centuries, why stop now? You're not going to get me to drop my juicy rib for a piece of crusty old tofu!

I'm guessing that you might like your pile of beef ribs, but would you REALLY like them if you had to kill the cow and cook 'em yourself? I mean, think about it, but I bet your answer is NO. Animals have feelings, ppl! Buy some tofu instead!

Bush might just be ruling out the endangered species act, no longer protecting animals and plants from construction projects that might harm them. Basically, Bush is giving the Siberian tigers and polar bears of the world the finger.
